1/3 cup olive oil |
2 tablespoons soy sauce |
4 teaspoons ginger, minced |
4 teaspoons sesame oil |
2 teaspoons wasabi paste |
24 ounces tuna steaks (approx 4 steaks) |
1/2 teaspoon salt |
1/2 teaspoon pepper |
1/2 head green leaf lettuce |
2 green onions, thinly sliced |
1 sweet red pepper, thinly sliced |
1 (284 ml) can mandarin orange segments, drained |
optional chopped unsalted cashews |
Directions:
1. whisk together olive oil, sesame oil, soy, ginger and wasabi paste until smooth. Reserve 1/4 cup. Pour remaining mix over tuna, marinate for 15 min. 2. while tuna is marinating prepare salad (lettuce, green onion, red pepper, mandarin segments). 3. Divide among 4 plates and drizzle with reserved dressing. 4. Remove tuna from marinade. Season tuna with salt and pepper. Place on greased grill over medium-high heat, close lid and grill for 2 minutes per side for medium rare. 5. Slice tuna and fan over individual salads. |
