I decided to make greens one night and wanted to play around with the taste and this is what I came up with. Ingredients:
1 lb greens, rinsed with stems cut off (your choice i like collard best) |
1 tablespoon butter |
1 cup water |
1 tablespoon white vinegar |
1 chicken bouillon cube |
1 small yellow onion, diced |
1 garlic clove, minced |
1 teaspoon tabasco sauce (the green one is excellent) |
1 teaspoon bacon bits |
salt |
pepper |
Directions:
1. Put all ingrediants into a medium pot. 2. Simmer on medium/low heat until tender, 2-3 hours. |
