I've been looking for a green tea cake recipe. This was suggested to me, but they are brownies..Still very good. I'm working on a green tea cake one on my own, so look out for that! Ingredients:

1 cup unsalted butter |
3 ounces white chocolate (chopped) |
1 cup granulated sugar |
1 tablespoon matcha (green tea powder) |
1/2 cup mascarpone cheese (softened) |
3 large eggs (room temperature) |
2 teaspoons vanilla extract |
1/2 cup all-purpose flour |
1/4 teaspoon salt |
chocolate ganache |
6 tablespoons heavy cream |
3 tablespoons unsalted butter |
6 ounces dark chocolate (chopped) |
Directions:
1. DIRECTIONS FOR CAKE! 2. Melt the butter and chocolate in a double boiler. 3. Mix in the sugar and matcha. 4. Beat in the mascarpone, eggs and vanilla. 5. Fold in the flour and salt. 6. Pour the batter into a greased 8x8 inch baking pan. 7. Bake in a preheated 325F oven until a toothpick poked into the middle comes out clean, about 55-60 . 8. ********** 9. DIRECTIONS FOR GANACHE! 10. Directions: 11. Heat the cream and butter in a small sauce pan until just before it boils. 12. Pour the cream and butter over the chocolate in a bowl. 13. Stir until smooth. 14. Pour the ganache over the brownies and wait until it is firm before cutting. |
