Green Peas With Onion And Garlic |

This is a fast and easy fix up for frozen green peas. You can add a pinch of your favorite herb to them, like basil, tarragon or marjoram Ingredients:
1 pkg. (10 oz.) frozen green peas |
2 tbsp. butter |
1 clove garlic, peeled and squashed, not minced |
1 small white onion, sliced |
3 tbsp. water |
1/2 tsp. salt |
1/4 tsp. pepper |
Directions:
1. Heat butter in saucepan that has a tight fitting lid; add garlic and saute over medium to high heat for 15 sec. or until it is coated with butter. Add the onion. Saute quickly until onion rings are separated. 2. Add peas and toss with spatula until vegetables are mixed. 3. Add water. Cover. bring to a boil. Then turn heat down to medium or 4. low and steam for 4 to 5 min. 5. Season with salt and pepper. If liquid has not all boiled off, stir over 6. high heat until it disappears. 7. Turn into serving dish; remove garlic before serving. |
