Ingredients:
1 cup water |
4 cups shelled fresh green peas |
1 head lettuce, shredded |
1 parsley sprig |
4 green onions, sliced |
1/4 cup butter or margarine |
1 tablespoon heavy cream |
1 teaspoon sugar |
3/4 teaspoon salt |
Directions:
1. Bring water to a boil in a large saucepan; add peas, lettuce, parsley, onions, and butter. Bring to a boil; cover, reduce heat, and cook 30 minutes or until tender. Remove parsley. Stir in heavy cream, sugar, and salt; cook 1 minute. |
