It's so easy to make your own vinegars. Delicious in your homemade French or Italian dressing. Use this vinegar in your own cooking or make a gift basket of assorted vinegars. From an old Woman's Day magazine. Ingredients:
2 cups green onions, finely chopped (with tops) |
2 cups white wine vinegar or 2 cups cider vinegar |
1 medium garlic clove, pressed |
2 tablespoons salt |
1/2 teaspoon pepper |
Directions:
1. Combine all ingredients in jar with tight fitting lid. 2. Stir well, cover tightly and place in a dark place for two weeks; shake once a day. 3. Strain through several layers of cheesecloth, bottle and store. |
