Ingredients:
3 bunches green onions, sliced |
1/4 cup plus 2 tablespoons butter or margarine |
1 unbaked 9-inch pastry shell |
4 eggs, beaten |
1 cup whipping cream |
3/4 teaspoon salt |
1/8 teaspoon pepper |
Directions:
1. Sauté onion in butter until tender. Spoon into pastry shell. 2. Combine eggs, cream, salt, and pepper; stir well. Pour over onions. Bake at 425° for 20 minutes or until a knife inserted in center comes out clean. Let stand 5 minutes before serving. |
