Delicious hummus recipe. Tastes better and costs less than store brand, in my opinion. :). Ingredients:
1 (15 ounce) can chickpeas, drained and rinsed |
1 garlic clove |
2 tablespoons tahini (middle eastern sesame paste) |
1/4 cup fresh parsley leaves |
6 basil leaves |
1 medium scallion, chopped |
1 tablespoon dill, chopped, fresh |
1 teaspoon honey |
1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice |
1/8 teaspoon cayenne pepper |
1/4 teaspoon kosher salt |
1/3 cup extra virgin olive oil |
Directions:
1. Place ingredients in a food processor and pulse until smooth. 2. Serve with dippers such as carrot sticks, sliced cucumber, whole wheat pita chips, flat breads, to name just a few. Garnish with parsley and/or dill. 3. May refrigerate up to 2 days. |
