If you are fortunate (as I am) to have a grocer who carries green garlic, you might want to try this dip which I whupped up. This goes great with artichokes. Ingredients:
3 green garlic (garlic scapes), cut into pieces |
2 tablespoons chopped fresh cilantro |
2 tablespoons olive oil |
1 tablespoon dry sherry |
lemon, juiced |
1/2 jalapeno pepper, seeded and coarsely chopped |
1 cup sour cream |
salt and black pepper to taste |
Directions:
1. Place the green garlic, cilantro, olive oil, sherry, lemon juice, and jalapeno pepper into a blender or food processor. Blend until pureed. Scrape into a bowl, and mix in the sour cream until evenly blended. Season to taste with salt and black pepper. Refrigerate before serving. |
