A little twist on the hummus recipe. The green chilies gives this dip a nice slight kick. This also makes a great sandwich spread. Ingredients:
1 (16 ounce) can chickpeas, washed and drained |
1 (4 1/2 ounce) can of chopped green chilies |
1/4 cup olive oil |
1 lime, juice of |
1 garlic clove |
salt |
black pepper |
cayenne pepper |
Directions:
1. Put all ingredients in food processor and mix till nice and smooth. 2. Adding water or olive oil to create a smoother dip if desired. 3. Serve with chips or toasted pita wedges. |
