Make this for the big game! This one has hamburger, but no cheese! It's made the day before and then reheated and served in a small crock or fondue pot. Serve with corn chips and tortillas. Ingredients:
1 lb ground beef |
1 (15 ounce) can tomatoes |
1 (10 ounce) can tomatoes and green chilies (rotel) |
3/4 cup green onion, chopped |
1 (4 ounce) jar diced pimentos |
1/4 teaspoon dried oregano |
1/2 teaspoon salt |
1/4 teaspoon pepper |
1 (6 ounce) can tomato paste |
garlic powder, to taste |
corn chips, for serving |
tortilla chips, for serving |
Directions:
1. In a large skillet, brown ground beef over medium heat, stirring and breaking up meat into small pieces; drain off fat. 2. In a blender, combine tomatoes, Rotel tomatoes with chilies, and green onions; process then add to browned ground beef. 3. Add pimentos, oregano, salt and pepper, tomato paste, and garlic to taste. 4. Let simmer for about 20 minutes. 5. Refrigerate overnight and reheat the next day. 6. Serve in a small crockpot or a fondue pot; serve with corn chips and/or tortilla chips. |
