This is one of those recipes that you just know that anyone you serve will want a copy. It is flavorful, easy to make & smells soooo good while it cooks. We always serve a ladle full over a baked potato with sour cream or grated cheese. Read more . And it just happens to be gluten free!! Ingredients:
1 lb. ground pork, browned |
1/2 cup finely chopped fresh onion |
1 clove finely chopped garlic |
1- 16 oz. can diced tomatoes (gluten free) |
1/4 tsp. coarsely chopped oregano |
2 - 7 oz. cans diced green chilies (gluten free) |
2 tsp. salt |
1 1/2 cup water |
1 tbs. (+/-) corn starch (to thicken before serving - if desired) |
Directions:
1. Brown & drain the ground pork 2. combine all ingredients in a pot and bring to a boil 3. Simmer for at least 2 hours prior to serving (also works great in a crock pot on low for several hours) 4. Prior to serving, if you like thick green chili, slowly stir in corn starch to thicken |
