Updating this recipe that was given to me by a friend when we were stationed at Carswell Air Force Base. The base closed several years ago, but I will never loose this recipe! Ingredients:
8 ounces sirloin, chopped |
8 ounces pork, chopped |
1 (15 ounce) can pinto beans |
1 (14 ounce) can tomatoes, cubed |
1 (7 ounce) can green chilies, chopped |
2 large potatoes, cubed |
1 teaspoon garlic powder |
1 1/2 teaspoons cumin |
2 cups water |
Directions:
1. Brown steak, pork, and onions in dutch oven. 2. Add all remaining ingredients. It may appear a little too soupy, but will thinken as it cooks. 3. Cook for 1 hour at low heat. This will make about 10 one cup servings. |
