This is incredible. So good all summer long when green beans are plentiful and fresh. Enjoy Ingredients:
1 pound fresh green beans |
4 tablespoons butter |
1 large shallot minced |
1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar plus 1 teaspoon balsamic vinegar |
1 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper |
Directions:
1. Top and tail beans and leave whole. 2. Drop into a large pot of boiling salted water and cook just 5 minutes. 3. Immediately drain and run cold water over to stop the cooking. 4. To serve put 1 tablespoon butter in a frying pan set over medium heat. 5. Sauté shallot for a couple of minutes then toss beans into the mixture. 6. As you cook them put the remaining butter and vinegar in a small saucepan. 7. Heat over medium heat for 2 minutes. 8. Immediately stir into the beans and sprinkle with pepper and serve. |
