Ingredients:
1/2 pound salt pork, cut into 1/2-inch cubes |
2 large onions, chopped |
1 clove garlic, minced |
2 pounds fresh green beans, snapped |
salt to taste |
Directions:
1. Cook salt pork in a large Dutch oven over medium heat, stirring frequently, until crisp and browned. Add onion and garlic; saute until tender. 2. Add beans and water to cover; bring to a boil. Reduce heat; cover and simmer 1 1/2 hours or until beans are tender. Add salt. |
