Green Beans With Peppers And Caramelized Onions |

Found a recipe or two and mixed to my liking. We had none left Ingredients:
2 lbs fresh green beans or 1 large bag frozen beans |
1 red pepper chopped or sliced |
1 green pepper chopped or sliced |
1 yellow pepper chopped or sliced |
2 medium size onions sliced thin |
1/2 stick of butter |
2 tbsp olilve oil |
dash of dill and thyme |
salt & pepper to taste |
Directions:
1. Snip off end of green beans 2. Place in saucepan and cook about 10 minutes in salted water 3. Drain well 4. In frying pan, melt butter 5. Add onion and over medium heat cook 6. About 10 minutes later, add chopped peppers 7. Continue cooking until onions are soft and browned and peppers are tender 8. Drizzle olive oil over top 9. Add to green beans (drained) back in saucepan 10. Heat thru until all flavors are mixed 11. Add all seasoning now and simmer 5 minutes 12. Note: if too dry, drizzle with a little more olive oil |
