Green Beans With Lemon, Mustard and Bacon |

You can't go wrong with this dish Ingredients:
1 lb green beans, trimmed |
2 slices bacon, thick cut, chopped into small pieces |
1/2 cup red onion, chopped (or shallots) |
2 garlic, minced |
1 tablespoon honey mustard |
1 tablespoon lemon juice, fresh |
salt and black pepper |
Directions:
1. Cut beans in small pieces (it is easier for the bacon sauce to mingle) Place beans in a steamer and steam for 6 minutes or until tender crisp. (or place in the microwave for 3 minutes). 2. Cook the bacon, onion and garlic over medium heat in a medium skillet until bacon is crisp and onions are tender, about 5 minutes. Be careful not to burn them. 3. Remove skillet from heat. Add honey mustard, lemon juice and salt and pepper. |
