Green Beans with Grape Tomatoes |

Grape tomatoes are small and have a sweet flavor like summer tomatoes. Look for them at your local supermarket. Ingredients:
2 pounds fresh green beans, trimmed |
6 tablespoons butter or margarine |
1 pint grape tomatoes, halved |
1 tablespoon chopped fresh thyme |
2 teaspoons sugar |
1 teaspoon salt |
1/2 teaspoon pepper |
Directions:
1. Cook beans in boiling salted water 8 minutes or until crisp-tender; drain. Plunge into ice water to stop the cooking process; drain and set aside. 2. Melt butter in a large skillet over medium heat 6 to 7 minutes or until butter begins to brown. Add green beans, and sauté until tender. Stir in grape tomatoes and remaining ingredients. Serve immediately. |
