Green Beans With Brown Rice and Garlic |

A lighter side dish that sounds great with roasted chicken. Ingredients:
8 ounces green beans, ends removed |
1 tablespoon butter |
1 tablespoon olive oil |
2 garlic cloves, minced |
1 cup cooked brown rice |
1 teaspoon salt |
1/4 teaspoon fresh ground black pepper |
Directions:
1. Boil salted water. Add green beans. Cook until tender crisp. Drain and set aside. 2. Saute butter, olive oil, and garlic in large sauce pan for two minutes. Add rice, beans, salt, and pepper. Saute until heated through. |
