Easy to make southern sytle green beans Ingredients:
1 1/2 lbs green beans, cut into 1 inch pieces. (fresh works best) |
6 slices bacon |
ground pepper |
seasoning salt |
Directions:
1. In a covered asuce pan, cook beans in a small amount of water for 20-25 minute or until tender. Drain. 2. Meanwhile, in a skillet, cook bacon until crispy. Remove bacon, reserving drippings. 3. Crumble bacon and set aside. 4. Add beans to drippings, sprinkle with pepper and seasoned salt and heat through. 5. Add crumbled bacon and toss. |
