Green beans bearnaise. Ingredients:
1 9-ounce package frozen or 1 1-pound can (2 cups) french-style green beans |
1 tablespoon butter or margarine |
1/2 cup finely diced cooked ham |
1 small clove garlic, minced |
1/2 teaspoon salt |
dash pepper |
1 medium tomato, cut in wedges |
Directions:
1. Cook frozen green beans in small amount of boiling water till just tender; drain. 2. Or heat canned beans and drain. 3. Melt butter in saucepan; add ham and garlic; cook till garlic is softened. 4. Stir in beans, salt, and pepper. 5. Top with tomato wedges; cover and heat through. 6. Makes 4 servings. |
