I came across this recipe on . It is really simple. Perfect side dish for any meal. Ingredients:
2 lbs fresh green beans |
6 -8 medium size new potatoes |
8 slices bacon |
salt and pepper |
Directions:
1. Wash beans thoroughly. Snap off ends and remove strings. 2. Break into 2 inch pieces. 3. Peel potatoes and cut in half. 4. In a large pot fry bacon, just until it starts to brown. 5. Add the beans and potatoes. 6. Cover with water. Bring to a boil. 7. Reduce heat and simmer on medium for about 1 hour. 8. Salt and pepper to taste. 9. ****I also threw some onions in the pot as well. The onions added a little more flavor. |
