A tasty Hump Day invention Ingredients:
1 lb frozen cut green beans |
1 medium sweet onion, thinly sliced |
1 garlic clove, crushed |
1/2 teaspoon dried thyme |
1 1/2 cups vegetable broth |
1/4 cup cold water |
1 tablespoon cornstarch |
black pepper |
grated parmesan cheese |
Directions:
1. In a skillet, combine the frozen green beans, sliced onion, garlic, thyme, and the vegetable broth. Cover and bring to a hard boil. Reduce heat to med-high and continue cooking for around 5 minutes, or until the beans and onions are tender. In a small bowl whisk together the cold water and cornstarch. Add to the skillet and stir until thickened. If desired season with black pepper and garnish with grated parmesan cheese. |
