vegetable side dish Ingredients:
1/2 cup water |
1/8 teaspoon salt |
1 lb fresh green beans, cleaned and trimmed |
4 tablespoons butter (or low-fat substitute) |
1 clove garlic, crushed |
ground black pepper, to taste |
Directions:
1. In a deep skillet over high heat add water, 1/2 of the salt and green beans. 2. Cover and cook until the beans are barely tender (about 3 and 1/2 minutes). 3. In a small saucepan, over medium heat mix garlic and butter until melts. 4. Pour the mixture over the beans. 5. Add remaining salt and pepper to taste. 6. Serve warm. |
