A little different green bean casserole with the addition of ranch salad dressing mix, Colby Jack cheese, and sliced almonds/cashews. A Gooseberry Patch recipe. Ingredients:
4 (16 ounce) cans green beans, drained |
1 (1 ounce) package ranch dressing mix |
2 (10 3/4 ounce) cans cream of mushroom soup |
1/4 cup milk |
8 ounces shredded colby-monterey jack cheese |
1 cup sliced almonds or 1 cup sliced cashews |
1 (2 7/8 ounce) can french-fried onions |
Directions:
1. Place green beans in a lightly greased 13 x9 baking pan; set aside. 2. Combine dressing mix, soup and milk in a small bowl; pour over beans. 3. Sprinkle with cheese and nuts; top with onions. 4. Bake at 350° for 5 minutes. |
