Green Bean Casserole with Mushrooms |

Ingredients:
2 tbsp butter |
1 cup sliced mushrooms (about 3 ounces) |
1 small onion, chopped (about 1/4 cup) |
1/2 tsp dried basil leaves, crushed |
1/2 tsp dried oregano leaves, crushed |
1/4 tsp garlic powder or 2 cloves garlic, minced |
1 can (10.75 oz) cream of mushroom soup |
4 cups cooked cut green beans |
2 large tomatoes, cut into wedges |
1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese |
3 tbsp. dry bread crumbs |
Directions:
1. In medium skillet over medium heat, heat margarine. Add mushrooms, onion, basil, oregano and garlic powder and cook until tender. 2. In 3-quart shallow baking dish, mix soup, mushroom mixture, beans and tomatoes. 3. Mix cheese and bread crumbs. Sprinkle over soup mixture. Bake at 400°F. for 20 min. or until hot. 4. TIP: Use 1 bag (16 to 20 ounces) frozen cut green beans, 2 packages (about 10 ounces each) frozen cut green beans, 2 cans (about 16 ounces each) cut green beans, drained or about 1 1/2 pounds fresh green beans. |
