Slight new twist on a holiday classic. Ingredients:
2 tablespoons olive oil |
1/2 cup diced onions |
1/2 fresh sliced mushrooms |
2 cups sliced fresh green beans |
1 10-3/4 ounce can cream of mushroom soup |
1 2.8 oz. can french fried onion rings |
1 cup grated cheddar cheese |
salt and pepper |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. 2. Saute onions and mushrooms in olive oil. 3. Boil green beans in water for 10 minutes and drain. 4. Add green beans, mushroom soup, onion rings, salt and pepper to onion/mushroom mixture. 5. Stir well 6. Pour into greased 1-1/2 qt baking dish. 7. Bake for 20 minutes. 8. Top with Cheddar and bake for 10 more minutes until casserole is hot and cheese is melted. |
