GREEN BEAN BAKE DATED 1955 This recipe came from an estate sale. I obtained it when I purchased the family collection from the Weir Estate in Canton, Texas in 1990. We all have this recipe and it is a true classic. Read more . I made it last night so decided to include in this collection. Ingredients:
1 can condensed cream of mushroom soup |
1/2 cup milk |
1 teaspoon soy sauce |
1 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper |
4 cups cut cooked green beans |
1 can french fried onions |
Directions:
1. In 1-1/2-quart casserole mix soup, milk, soy sauce, pepper, beans and 1/2 can onions. 2. Bake at 350 for 25 minutes. 3. Stir well and sprinkle remaining onions over bean mixture. 4. Bake 5 minutes more or until onions are golden. |
