Green Bean And Corn Casserole |

This is another holiday side our family likes. Very tasty veggie casserole. Ingredients:
1/2 cup chopped onion |
1/2 cup chopped celery |
1/2 cup chopped bell pepper |
1/2 cup grated sharp cheddar |
1 can white shoepeg corn |
2 cans french style green beans |
8 oz. carton of sour cream |
1 can cream of celery soup |
salt and pepper to taste |
topping |
1 stack round buttery crackers |
1 stick butter or margarine, melted |
Directions:
1. Saute onion, celery, and bell pepper in a little butter til nearly tender. 2. Mix all ingredients together. 3. Put into a greased casserole dish. 4. Top with the crushed crackers which have been mixed with the melted butter or margarine. 5. Bake at 350 degrees for about 45 min. 6. You can also add about 1/2 cup of slivered almonds to the cracker topping for great flavor and crunch. |
