a very old recipe ..older women in the villages still make this recipe . It is really good! Ingredients:
2 lbs of any fruit, you like |
2 lbs sugar |
1 glass water |
2 teaspoons vanilla extract |
1 teaspoon lemon juice |
Directions:
1. Clean and pit fruits. 2. From oranges, lemons etc you keep only the skin. 3. Bring sugar and water to a boil for 7-8 minutes until syrup is somewhat thick.Add fruits ,add lemon juice simmer until syrup is thick and fruits are somewhat soft,let cool, put in a jar and turn upside down for 24 hours. |
