This is a great side dish that is not only tasty but very healthy. Enjoy Ingredients:
1/2 cup chopped white onion |
4 cloves garlic minced |
1 tablespoon olive oil |
3/4 teaspoon dried oregano leaves |
1/2 teaspoon dried basil leaves |
28 ounce can tomatoes with juice coarsely chopped |
1 pound green beans |
1/2 teaspoon salt |
1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper |
Directions:
1. Sauté onion and garlic in oil until tender about 4 minutes then stir in herbs and cook 2 minutes. 2. Add tomatoes, juice and green beans then heat to boiling and reduce heat. 3. Simmer covered for 40 minutes then season with salt and pepper. |
