This is a great side dish that is not only tasty but very healthy. Enjoy
Ingredients:
1/2 cup chopped white onion
4 cloves garlic minced
1 tablespoon olive oil
3/4 teaspoon dried oregano leaves
1/2 teaspoon dried basil leaves
28 ounce can tomatoes with juice coarsely chopped
1 pound green beans
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
Directions:
1. Sauté onion and garlic in oil until tender about 4 minutes then stir in herbs and cook 2 minutes.
2. Add tomatoes, juice and green beans then heat to boiling and reduce heat.
3. Simmer covered for 40 minutes then season with salt and pepper.
