Haven't tried. From the Good Housekeeping, Rush Hour Dinners cookbook. Ingredients:
3/4 lb beef top round steak |
1/2 teaspoon salt |
1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper |
3 tablespoons lemon juice |
2 tablespoons olive oil |
10 ounces romaine mixed salad greens |
1/2 english cucumber, not peeled, thinly sliced |
1 pint grape tomatoes |
4 ounces feta cheese, crumbled |
Directions:
1. Heat ridged grill pan over high heat 1 minute. 2. Add steak to pan; sprinkle with 1/4 tsp salt and 1/4 tsp pepper. Cook steak 7-9 minutes, turning once, for med-rare or until desired doneness. Transfer to cutting board. 3. Meanwhile, in large bowl, with wire whisk, whisk lemon juice, oil, remaining 1/4 tsp salt, and 1/4 tsp pepper. 4. Add romaine, cucuber, tomatoes, and feta to dressing; toss to coat. Thinly slice steak on diagonal across the grain. Serve on salad with warmed pita on the side. |
