This sounds really good. It calls for prepared hummus but you could easily make on of the great hummus recipes here and use anywhere from 1/2 cup to a cup for this dip. I've seen another similar recipe that uses 3 tomatoes, a whole cucumber and a small can of sliced olives so you could really play around with the amounts of those to suit your tastes. Ingredients:
8 ounces cream cheese, softened |
1 (7 ounce) package prepared hummus |
1/2 cup chopped tomato |
1/4 cup chopped cucumber |
4 ounces crumbled feta cheese |
2 tablespoons black olives, sliced |
Directions:
1. Spread cream cheese in the bottom of a 9 inch pie plate. 2. Spread the hummus over the cream cheese. 3. Top with remaining ingredients. Serve with pita chips, bagel chips or even tortilla chips. |
