I tried this out today and it worked great. Nice light and tasty. I got 4 covered pies out of this mix. Ingredients:
5 cups flour |
1 lb lard |
2 tablespoons sugar |
1 teaspoon baking powder |
1/2 teaspoon salt |
3/4-1 cup milk |
Directions:
1. Sift dry ingredients together and then mix in lard in chunks, using a fork or hand pastry blender. 2. Add milk. 3. Continue working with fork until just blended. 4. Roll out and fill pie plates as needed. |
