This was my Great Grandmother from Sicily's recipe of course she made her own pasta though! It is a family recipe that I think needs to be out there I hope you enjoy! Ingredients:
1 lb ground beef |
1/2 cup chopped onion |
1 clove garlic, chopped |
salt and pepper |
1 (28 ounce) can tomato sauce |
1 container ricotta cheese |
1/2 cup chopped onion |
garlic salt |
1/2 package frozen spinach, thawed and squeezed |
1/4-1/2 cup parmesan cheese |
1/2 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded |
salt and pepper |
1 egg |
lasagna noodle (cooked) |
Directions:
1. Brown first four ingredients. 2. Add tomato sauce. 3. Mix all ingredients for the filling in a separate bowl. 4. Alternate layers: Sauce, noodles, filling. 5. End with noodles top with sauce and cover with Mozzarella. 6. Cover with foil sprayed with cooking spray. 7. Bake at 350 for 30-40 minutes. |
