Their sort of sweet & sour A friend brought them years ago when we were all camping. Every time I make them I think of her !! She sence has passed on !! Ingredients:
3 lbs chicken wings, tips cut off & cut in half at the joint |
garlic powder |
1/2 cup cornstarch |
1/2 cup flour |
3 beaten eggs |
oil, for browning |
3/4 cup sugar |
1/2 cup vinegar |
1/2 cup chicken broth |
4 tablespoons catsup |
1 tablespoon soy sauce |
salt & pepper |
Directions:
1. Prepare wings. 2. Sprinkle heavy with garlic powder. 3. Refrigerate 1hr. 4. Mix flour& cornstarch in a bag. 5. Dip wing in eggs then in the flour mixture. 6. Fry in a pan with oil until browned. 7. Layer in a large baking dish. 8. Mix all of the sauce ingredients & pour over the wings. 9. Bake 350 degrees 1 hour. 10. Can be served hot or cold. |
