Ingredients:
2 pound(s) baking potatoes |
1 tablespoon(s) butter |
1 cup(s) cream |
1 pinch(s) freshly grated black pepper |
2 cup(s) freshly grated parmesan cheese |
1 pinch(s) grated nutmeg |
2 cup(s) milk (whole milk, if available) |
1 pinch(s) salt |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. 2. Peel the potatoes and slice them thinly. 3. Lay the slices, slightly overlapping, in a large baking dish, greased with butter. 4. Mix the milk, cream, half the Parmesan cheese, nutmeg, salt and pepper. 5. Pour the wet mixture over the potatoes and sprinkle with the remaining half of the Parmesan cheese. 6. Bake until the potatoes are tender, about 45 minutes, raising the oven temperature to 425 near the end of the baking time to brown the crust. 7. Serve hot. |
