This is an awesome pie and one I have made for years. My mother got this recipe from one of my childhood friends over 20 years ago. It is incredible and always well received. Pretty and tasty. Can't go wrong with this delight. Read more . Enjoy Ingredients:
1-1/2 cups crushed chocolate wafers |
1 stick melted butter |
6-1/2 cups miniature marshmallows |
1/4 cup milk |
1/4 cup creme de menthe |
2 tablespoons creme de cacao |
2 cups whipping cream |
Directions:
1. Mix wafer crumbs and melted butter then press into a pie pan saving 2 tablespoons crumbs. 2. Chill crust 1 hour. 3. Combine marshmallows and milk then heat in a double boiler until marshmallows are melted. 4. Cool stirring every five minutes then add creme de menthe and creme de cacao. 5. Whip 2 cups whipping cream until soft peaks form then fold into marshmallow mixture. 6. Pour into crust and top with reserved chocolate crumbs then freeze until firm. 7. Store in refrigerator. |
