A delicious between-course sorbet or an amazingly refreshing, light summertime treat. Freezing time not included in preparation time. Ingredients:
1 quart water |
2 cups sugar |
1 1/2 cups grapefruit juice (fresh is best) |
Directions:
1. Make a syrup by boiling the water and sugar together for one minute. 2. Add grapefruit juice, cool and freeze. 3. Variation-Orange ice; in place of grapefruit juice, use 2 cups orange juice, 1/4 cup lemon juice and the grated rind of 2 oranges. |
