Grape Leaf Rolls With Olive Oil |

Thia is famous Turkish 'sarma dolma'.its origin is 'sarma'.you may also take a look at my link in the forum of middle east.in the link of this Greek site, this meal is regarded as 'Turkish'. Ingredients:
500 g grape leaves (washed ) |
1 cup washed and drained rice |
1/2 cup virgin olive oil |
3 medium chopped onions |
3 tablespoons pine nuts |
1 tablespoon currants |
1 teaspoon cinnamon |
1 tablespoon dried mint |
salt |
1 cup hot water |
4 tablespoons sugar |
Directions:
1. boil the leaves in water for 3 minutes abd cut off the stems. 2. In a large dish,mix all ingredients excepting leaves. 3. as in the link, hold leaves form its stem and fold the top with filling. 4. ( the matte part of leaf will be filled). 5. then fold two sides of leaves and roll and close up them. 6. place them side by side in a po t(there will be no space among them). 7. pour 1 cup hot water into pot and cook at low heat untill the water evaporates. 8. cool it and then serve with lemon slices. |
