different taste of rice pilaf Ingredients:
(1) 20 oz can pineapple chunks |
2 tbsp soy sauce |
1 tsp. grated fresh ginger root |
2 cups water |
1cup long grain brown rice |
1/2 sp rosemary |
2 tbsp butter |
2 tbs chopped green onion |
1/4 cup toasted slivered almonds |
Directions:
1. Drain pineapple syrup into saucepan. Add water & bring to a boil. Stir in rice & rosemary. Cover and simmer 35-45 minutes, until rice is tender & liquid is absorbed. Mix in pineapple chunks & remaining ingredients and heat through. 2. This is a perfect side dish for chicken,lamb or pork. |
