Chewy granola bars. They make an excellent snack. Feel free to subsitute the almonds and cranberries with any other nuts, dried fruit, or chocolate chips. Ingredients:
4 cups oats |
1/3 cup applesauce |
2/3 cup honey |
5/8 cup slivered almonds |
1/2 cup dried cranberries |
1 tsp vanilla extract |
Directions:
1. Preheat over to 375 2. Pour oats on to a baking sheet. Cook for 15 minutes, stirring occasionally. 3. Allow oats to cool. 4. Mix other ingredients together in a bowl. Add cooled oats. 5. Firmly press the mix into the a well greased 9x13 pan. 6. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until golden brown. 7. Allow to cool completely before cutting. |
