Makes 5 Cups . It can be eaten in combination with yogurt, manuka honey,strawberries, bananas, or other cereal. It can also be used as a topping in pastries and desserts. It is lightweight, high in energy, and easy to store . Ingredients:
1 c cranberries |
3 c oats |
1/2 c chopped walnuts |
1/3 c honey |
2 tbsp wheatgerm and sesame seeds |
pinch of salt |
1 tsp vanilla essence |
1 tbsp brown sugar and extra light olive oil |
Directions:
1. Pre heat oven to 150 degrees . 2. Combine oats , nuts , wheatgerms , sesame seeds and salt in a 13 by 9 inch baking pan . 3. Bake for 30 mins . 4. Increase the oven to 175 degrees . 5. Combine honey , sugar and oil and cook in medium heat until it melts . 6. Remove and stir in vanilla . 7. Drizzle it over oats and stir to coat . 8. Return it to the oven and nake another 10 mins . 9. Break up any clumps with a spoon and add the cranberries . 10. Store in airtight container . |
