Granny's Tea Cakes

Not to sweet, not too crispy, and they never last too long.
Ingredients:
1/2 cup butter
1/4 cup shortening
1 cup sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla
2 1/2 cups flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon salt
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 400°F.
2. Mix Shortening, Sugar, Eggs, & Vanilla.
3. Blend in Flour, Baking Powder, & Salt.
4. Cover & chill for 1 hour.
5. Roll dough out to between 1/4 & 1/2 thick.
6. Cut into cookies with biscuit cutter.
7. Bake in ungreased cookie sheet for 6-8 minutes.
