Her fruit loaf always did taste different to everyone else, always special. Now I see the ingredients, I know why. This makes 1 large loaf and 1 small loaf Ingredients:
3/4 pint cold brewed tea |
12 ounces sugar |
4 ounces apricots, chopped |
1 1/4 lbs dried fruit |
1 egg, beaten |
2 cups self-raising flour (heaped cups) |
Directions:
1. Soak the apricots, sugar and dried fruit overnight in the cold tea. 2. Stir in morning. 3. Add egg and flour. 4. Bake 1 1/4 hours at 350°F. |
