The latest additional from my Granny's collection. I would file this one under decadent but delicious. Ingredients:
1 cup butter |
1/2 cup vegetable shortening |
3 cups sugar |
5 eggs |
2 teaspoons vanilla |
3 1/2 cups flour |
1 cup milk |
3 1/2 ounces flaked coconut |
Directions:
1. Cream together the sugar, butter and shortening. 2. Add eggs one at a time. 3. Add vanilla, stirring until combined. 4. Add the flour and milk, alternating a little milk as each cup of flour is blended in Stir in flaked coconut. 5. Bake in tube pan at 350 degrees for 1 hour. |
