Granny Smith Baked Northern Beans W/Cinnamon and Molasses |

Mmmmmmm! Just in time for autumn! I haven't made these in years! Hope you like them! Ingredients:
1 (48 ounce) jar great northern beans, rinsed and drained |
2 large granny smith apples, peeled cored and diced |
4 tablespoons butter |
1/4 cup sugar |
1/2 cup brown sugar |
1/2 cup ketchup |
1 teaspoon cinnamon |
1 tablespoon molasses |
1 teaspoon salt |
Directions:
1. In large saute pan, melt butter, stir in apples, cook til tender, stirring, about 5 minutes. *Try not to break them up, though. 2. Add sugars, stir til melted. 3. Add ketchup, cinn., molasses, and salt. Mix in well. 4. Fold in beans. 5. Bake at 350 for 1 hour in 2-quart casserole. 6. *If you like a little bit of onion in yours, cook some finely chopped with the apples and the butter. ;). |
