I'm always looking for a salad to send along with my husband's lunch...This was one I found online that he absolutely loves....But then again, fruit and veggies are his candy...The original recipe didn't call for lemon juice but like it in this recipe Ingredients:
5 granny smith apples, cored, shredded and well drained |
juice from 1/2 lemon |
1 carrot, peeled and shredded |
1 cup raisins |
1 cup walnuts, chopped |
2 cups mayonnaise |
1 tbls. apple cider vinegar |
2 tbls. brown sugar, packed |
1 tbls. poppy seed |
Directions:
1. In mixing bowl, add apples and lemon juice, then blend 2. Add carrots, raisins and walnuts and mix to blend 3. In mixing bowl, add remaining ingredients and mix well 4. Add to apple mixture and chill well |
