Slightly different variation of another on zaar... I'm sure they are both yummy! Ingredients:
2 cups flour |
1 teaspoon salt |
1 1/2 cups sugar |
2 eggs, lightly beaten |
1 teaspoon baking soda |
1/2 cup chopped pecans |
1/2 cup brown sugar |
1 cup condensed milk |
1/4 cup butter |
1/2 cup sugar |
1 teaspoon vanilla |
Directions:
1. Mix first 5 cake ingredients in a large mixing bowl. Pour into a 9/12 greased glass cake pan. 2. Mix pecans and brown sugar and sprinkle over top of batter. 3. Bake for 35-40 minutes at 350 degrees. Don't overbake. 4. While cake is cooling, in heavy saucepan heat all topping ingredients to a rolling boil. Boil for 1 minute then pour over the top of cooled cake in cake pan. (This will look like a mess, but the cake soaks up the liquid and makes a frosting.). 5. Store in refrigerator covered. |
