This light icey lem..lem... lemony treat is for adults and children. It can be easily served in paper cups or cones as well. Ingredients:
2 cups water |
1 cup sugar |
1 tbl finely shredded lemon peel |
1 cup lemon juice |
Directions:
1. Heat water and sugar to boiling; reduce heat. 2. Simmer uncovered 5 minutes. 3. Remove from heat; stir in lemon peel and juice. 4. Cool to room temperature. 5. Pour into loaf pan (9x5x3”) 6. Freeze 3-4 hours, stirring every 30 minutes. 7. Serve in chilled dessert dishes. 8. (If ice is not to be served immediately, cut into 1/2 inch chunks; place in bowl. Cover and freeze until serving time.) |
